Andrew Gerzso
Andrew Gerzso, born in Mexico City, has held over the years a number of positions at IRCAM starting as computer musician and most recently as Director of Pedagogy. From 1980 to 2011 he was a close collaborator of Pierre Boulez at IRCAM for whom he did the electro-acoustic realization for "Répons" in 1981, "Dialogue de l'Ombre Double" in 1985, "Explosante-fixe" in 1991 and "Anthèmes 2" in 1997. Since 2017 he manages EC Culture projects and currently coordinates the ULYSSES Creative Europe project and IRCAM’s participation at the INTERFACES project also supported by the Creative Europe program of the European Union. In addition, he has been regularly invited by the EC to be an expert and monitor for the evaluation of H2020 scientific projects involving music and related technologies.
