In 2026, Onassis ONX continues its collaboration with The Lumen Prize, supporting The Liminal Review 2026 and introducing the Lumen Prize x Onassis ONX Award. The partnership brings together research, public dialogue, and artist recognition, while opening a pathway for one selected artist to present their work in Athens in the upcoming ONX Exhibition in March 2027.
“The Liminal Review: New Signals in Arts Technologies 2026,” The Lumen Prize’s annual report on emerging trends in art and technology, launched on September 26, 2026, at Tate Modern in London, as part of “The Evolving Studio: Artists Working with Technology.” Written by Rachel Falconer, Head of Creative Technology at Goldsmiths, University of London, the report draws on more than 2,000 submissions from over 70 countries, tracing how artists are working today with AI, immersive media, computational systems, and digital culture.
As a Supporting Partner and Key Contributor, Onassis ONX will bring an original written perspective to the publication and join the wider conversation around contemporary artistic experimentation and the new languages emerging through technology.

The collaboration also introduces the Lumen Prize x Onassis ONX Award, to be presented on November 14, 2026, at the Lumen Prize Awards Ceremony at Kunstsilo Museum in Kristiansand, Norway. The award will recognize one artist from the 2026 finalist pool whose practice resonates with Onassis ONX’s focus on genre-defying artistic production, advanced technologies, and new forms of storytelling grounded in human-centric approaches.
The selected artist will receive a $1,000 cash award from The Lumen Prize and an invitation to participate in ONX.Exhibition.Athens.2027, taking place from March 17 to 21.
Through this expanded partnership, Onassis ONX continues to support artists who approach technology not only as a medium, but as a field of questions, images, relations, and possibilities for the worlds to come.
