50 Years of the Onassis Foundation: “More than you can imagine”

The campaign marking the 50th anniversary of the Onassis Foundation is grounded in a simple idea: the Onassis Foundation is not defined by a single role. It connects Health, Education, and Culture with society. It shows that the bigger picture is always more than you can imagine, because it evolves and responds to the needs of every era.

What is the Onassis Foundation? Certainly not just what you imagine.

For some, it is the Onassis Hospital. For others, it is the Onassis Stegi and its interventions in public space. For others, it is scholarships, academic opportunities, and the Onassis Public Schools. Everyone is right, yet no one sees the whole picture. Because the Onassis Foundation is all of these at once, and more than you can imagine.

For 50 years, the Onassis Foundation has served as a catalyst for progress and democratization, with initiatives spanning Health, Education, and Culture. It does not choose between roles; it connects them. It evolves, shifts, and reimagines itself again and again, because our needs change and ideas do not stand still. Guided by a clear vision, the Onassis Foundation remains consistently innovative and creatively disruptive. It is a living, multifaceted organization that creates space for what lies ahead in our shared future.

The campaign was created in collaboration with Ogilvy, with the films directed by award-winning Greek filmmaker Argyris Papadimitropoulos, whom the Onassis Foundation warmly thanks for their creative contribution. Much of the filming took place at the Onassis Stegi, the Onassis Hospital, and the Onassis Public School of Kolonos.
