The Little Prince Blues

Giannis Aggelakas, Theodora Kapralou / Based on the text by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, translated in Greek by Stratis Tsirkas

The leading figure of the Greek rock scene returns after “Nekyia” with an electrified ode to the prince we all once loved.

“I’ve read ‘The Little Prince’ over and over again throughout my life. And it always had the same effect on me. It healed my soul.”

This is what Giannis Angelakas says about the book that has haunted him since adolescence. A book he kept on his bookshelf with the cover always facing outward. So that he would remember.

Together with his collaborators, he decided to present a stage adaptation of the famous 1943 book in 2026 at the Onassis Stegi, in a performance that is an affirmation of life, love, and friendship. Like an electromagnetic wave of words, music, and songs that pass through the soul and the body, through earthly wars and interplanetary journeys. Because we all know by now: “You can only see well with your heart. The essence of things is invisible to the eye.”
