Antonis Antoniadis

The doctoral dissertation prepared and submitted by scholar Antonis Antoniadis with the support of the Onassis Foundation has been awarded by the American PAIL (Procedural Aspects of International Law) Institute as the best dissertation in the English language, confirmed by all universities dealing with the procedural aspects of international law in 2006-2007.

The prize includes a publication in the PAIL Institute Monograph Series (Martinus Nijhoff/Brill) and carries with it a US$5,000 award. Antonis Antoniadis’ dissertation entitled "The European Community and its Member States as WTO Members: A Constitutional Perspective" was submitted to the University of Birmingham. The award citation commends the dissertation indicating that it is a laudable contribution to international legal literature with engagingly written and persuasive arguments stemming from an in-depth and well-organized research.
