A new Director of Educational Programs at the Onassis Foundation USA

Young Richard Kim has joined the Onassis Foundation USA as Director of Educational Programs and Assistant Executive Director. Before taking this new position, Dr. Kim was an Associate Professor of Classics and History at Calvin College in Michigan. He is a trained classicist and historian and received his MA and PhD from the University of Michigan. Kim regularly taught courses in ancient Greek and Latin language, literature, and history.

As a scholar, he has presented papers and published extensively on the life and work of Epiphanius of Cyprus, and he continues to conduct research on topics related to Late Antiquity. He brings to the foundation experience in academic administration, leadership in scholarly organizations, and grant programs.
