Eva Fotiadi

The art historian and museologist Eva Fotiadi was the curator of the art exhibition 'Uniting Cultures – Greek Artistic Presence in the Netherlands', which opened on March 25, 2007, in Rotterdam.

The exhibition was held at the Art Hall of the World Trade Center, under the aegis of the Consulate General of Greece in Rotterdam. It presented works by twenty Greek artists permanently living and working in the Netherlands. The exhibition aimed, firstly, to promote the presence of a significant number of Greek artists living in the Netherlands and, secondly, to demonstrate the 'osmosis' and intermingling of various artistic currents. The exhibition was opened by the Greek Ambassador in the Netherlands, Constantinos Rallis.

Furthermore, Eva Fotiadi co-organized an international symposium entitled 'Transformations of Art and Public Space', which was held at Amsterdam's Stedelijk Museum on February 15-16, 2007. Eva Fotiadi is a researcher at the Art History Institute of the University of Amsterdam.
